| Answers: I thought of sharing this incident with you'll...? I got admitted to an university for a postgraduate course so i went to submit all the required academic documents to the university before the last date.Once i was done with this i had to enquire about the hostel accomodation to which i was guided to the hostel wardens office by some students around the campus. As i reached the hostel wardens office i saw a lot of crowd at the office counter...Here undergraduate students were taking admission for hostel & the office staff was busy with the students assisiting them filling up the forms for hostel admission as their classes were starting after few days.I waited for some time at the office counter and asked the procedure for getting hostel accomodation for postgraduate students to which the lady replied to ask the chief warden about the same. The chief wardens cabin was the next room.I entered the room..the warden looked at me for few secs.and then ignored me as he was busy on a call & also guiding his assistant.I waited for a while as i didnt want to interrupt him..As i was waiting suddenly a man walked in with a form and he guided him immediately...i felt odd as i was still not noticed although i was standing right in front of him..Still i had my patience..I waited for him to finish..Soon a family i.e.parents with their daughter walked in the wardens cabin and he directly attended them as the girl wanted to change her room as she saw that her good friend had got a better room..she was an undergraduate...I am still waiting to be heard...Their conversation went on for 2-3 mins...I gave up finally and said...Sir, i am here for my postgraduation and wish to enroll for hostel admission to which he replied..write your name on the register & we'll inform you.So i asked him..Do we get any preference for rooms ?..(now just look at the nature of my question)...I repeat my question..Do we get any preference for rooms...to which what i meant was..do i get any choice of rooms which i can enter on the register. Now i suppose he took my question in another way... |
