Do you think this is discrimination?

Thank author of this post/commentI have a son in the 4th grade, he is in special ed. Today I found out that the 4-6th graders sold cheesecakes for the school fundraiser and I never received a packet for my son to sell. The past 3 yrs my son sold many cheesecakes and even won 2 trips for selling more than 20 cakes. I asked my son's teacher if she received the packets so that the kids could sell and she said she didn't even know they were having a fundraiser. I became unglued, so I went to the office and spoke with the Asst principal and asked why the special ed class did not get to sell the cheesecakes. He said he did not know why, but maybe the teacher opted out not to include the (sp-ed) kids. I told him that I had already asked her and she didn't even know of the fundraiser. I told him that I wanted answers or I was going to go to the school district to complain and I would not go quietly. I have noticed that the special ed kids get pushed to the side. In the past years and the festivals, all the 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc... classes get together and make a basket to raffle off. That money then goes to the the classrooms. Special ed is no where to be found with these baskets. There are 2 special ed teachers one teaches 1st-3rd, and the second teaches 4th-6th. Last year I donated 2 beautiful baskets, that came in 2nd place for the most money raised. I do my part, but I feel the school neglected to include these children for the ch-cake sales, and they were not given an opportunity to win any prizes. What do you think?
