| Yahoo! Answers: Obsession that has come along with panic disorder...? I suffer from panic disorder with agoraphobia. From time to time, I have an obsessive fear that someone close to me will hurt me. The fear leaves as quickly as it comes, but it bothers me. I also realize that the fear is irrational, I don't believe anyone has a vendetta against me. I saw a psychiatrist who evaluated me, and felt I didn't have schizophrenia. I also have an obsessive fear of developing schizophrenia. I am a 34 year old woman. When I have called the psychiatry office, they told me it is just part of my anxiety disorder to be worried about developing schizophrenia. Should I get a second opinion? I hate having this feeling of paranoia pop up. When the sensation hits, it is really troublesome. |
