My older cat is drooling a lot, what should I do?

I have a cat who is about 13 who has been going downhill for a few months.

She has lost a lot of weight and is now starting to both smell and drool quite a bit.

Is it time to take her and have her euthanized, or is this part of the old age process?

I've heard of a couple different problems that can lead a cat to drool. If I were you I would try taking your cat to the vet. Here are some painful examples of problems in the mouth.

Gum disease and Dental disease

Oral ulcer or laceration

Salivary gland cyst

Bee stings
