Yahoo! Answers: How to change my bad eating habits?

Thank author of this post/commentI'm 15 years old and 116 lbs. (female) and I really need to change the way I eat because it is extremely unhealthy. I guess you could say I eat my feelings. I'll take you through a normal day for me. For breakfast, I'm usually in a hurry so I'll grab a poptart or quick bowl of cereal. Then I go to school, and for lunch there, I don't eat too much because I don't like it. Sometimes I get another poptart or a large chocolate chip cookie and a milk. When I get home from school I get this HUGE craving for chocolate, so straight to the pantry I go and grab a little package of doughnuts or ho-ho's. If there isn't any of that around then I go for the chips. Supper time rolls around about an hour later and I'm always full from my 'snack'. My parents don't know how much I eat before so they make me finish everything on my plate. We have some sort of meat every meal (I'm not a big fan of any kind of meat but I still have to eat it) and a vegetable so supper is pretty healthy I guess. Sometimes my mom doesn't like to cook to she'll take us to Subway or McDonald's. A few hours after supper I get the munchies again so I get a bowl of ice cream and then I go to bed. I know the way I eat is bad but I just get these cravings and I have a hard time fighting them. If I see healthy foods like carrots or celery, or apples, or grapes around, I'll eat them instead. But we don't buy too much of that stuff so it's hard for me. For beverages I have been drinking a lot more water than I used to, I also like milk. I'm not a big fan of pop or juices. I'm also not in any sports so I'm not very active. I don't like to go running so that's out of the question. I have a pool and I like to swim, but that just doens't feel like exercise. My favorite thing to eat though is salad. My mom doesn't think that's 'food' though so she'll never let me eat JUST that. But salad fills me up just like any other
